Pilar Lopez, President

Meet Pilar, our 2021 - 2023 President. Pilar Lopez was born & raised in the Coachella Valley and returned home after college due to her love of her desert community. She has been an active member with the Junior League since 2016 and served as New Member Chair, Fashion Week Chair, and Recording Secretary. In 2018, she received the Member of the Year award for her service. Pilar is a city planner at the City of Rancho Mirage and her life's mission is #buildingbettercommunities, which she strives to do with her day job and charitable involvements. She enjoys volunteering with local non-profits, such as St. Jude's The Warburton, hiking the surrounding mountains, and snuggling with her cat George. Pilar is excited to begin building a new solid foundation for the Junior League.

Nivie Kaul, Vice President of Operations and Finance

Meet Nivie, our 2021 - 2023 Vice President of Operations and Finance. Nivie is a new resident of Palm Springs who is glad to get away from the freezing winters of the East Coast, yet struggles with the Desert heat. She is a globe trotter, voracious reader (thanks, Kindle Unlimited), dabbles in DIY, and aspires to be an amateur builder. Nivie believes in the mission of the Junior League, equal opportunity, and is inspired by strong female role models to encourage all women to explore their full potential. She is a graduate of the Gould School of Law at the University of Southern California.
